Waiting in square for bell ringing ceremony and old army vehicles coming to then take veterans to the memorial – about 10 mins drive from here. The memorial is at the actual field the Halifax crashed in – the day after Weert was liberated.

Lovely and warm in the sun and two vehicles here already.

Wesley mentioned that a Commodore is coming as well as somebody from the US embassy in Amsterdam.

This really is a focus for rememberance and thanks. Superb.
