Heroes Return Blog – Stories from Second World War veterans’ trips

Here at the three graves of aircrew of retrieved crashed Halifax bomber. A symbol of all those who died and made superhuman effort to protect others. This is a very moving experience and the veterans are very touched by the interest, warmth and real gratitude here from the country. We have never known war or occupation. Let’s hope we never have to.
